Description

This spacious apartment found in the popular district of Eixample with 3 bedrooms is ideal for a group of friends or a family. Eixample is renowned for its world class architecture, grid-like streets and many bars, restaurants and cafés. The apartment is just a short walk from Passeig de Gràcia, where you can find the best shops and restaurants. The apartment is also well connected to the other parts of the city such as the Ciutadella Park, Sagrada Familia and Gothic Quarter, by public transport and on foot.

This apartment can accommodate up to a maximum of 9 guests with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The floor is decorated with hydraulic mosaics, a flooring closely linked to the modernist movement, so is very common in Barcelona and particularly on the floors in Eixample. It was a technique imported from France that was very popular among the high society in Barcelona

The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can easily cook all your favourite meals at home, or even try out some Spanish dishes.

This apartment is also equipped with other features to give you maximum comfort, such as air conditioning, heaters, Internet, satellite TV, washing machine and a dishwasher.

In addition, the apartment has SMOKE DETECTORS AND SOUNDMETERS, so it is not permitted to smoke in the apartment or exceed noise levels after 10pm to respect the rest of the neighbours. If any of these rules are breached, AB Apartment Barcelona will retain the amount of the deposit (if any).

BEFORE BOOKING: We recommend visiting the apartment so that you can appreciate it in person. Although the dimensions are clearly indicated in the ad, the photos were taken with a wide-angle lens to better showcase the space, which may make it appear larger. Additionally, please note that the apartment has been enjoyed by several guests, so it may show some signs of normal wear and tear over time.

District

Eixample is Catalan for ´extension´, meaning an extension of the old Barcelona city, and it is one of the most popular districts in the Catalan capital. Eixample was designed by Catalan-born architect, Ildefons Cerdà, who took traffic and sunlight (amongst many other things) into consideration when drawing up the plans of the new area.

Eixample is now characterised by its octagonal blocks and its grid-like pattern, with wide streets and both commercial and residential areas. It is split into two parts, Eixample Esquerra (Left, or in Spanish, Izquierdo) and Eixample Dret (Right, or in Spanish, Derecho), and is home to one of the most famous streets in Barcelona, Passeig de Gràcia, known for its high fashion stores and trendy restaurants.

The street is intersected by the long Avinguda Diagonal, which runs through the entire city.

Eixample Derecho is home to many gems of ´Modernisme´ architecture, including the unique Casa Milà (La Pedrera), the colourful Casa Batlló and the towering Sagrada Familia, known as Gaudí´s unfinished masterpiece. You will also find plenty of great bars and cafés here, too, and if you decide to choose one of the many Barcelona apartments in Eixample Derecho for your stay, you will be able to easily explore the city, due to the neighbourhood´s convenient, central location and excellent public transportation services.
