Description

This two-bedroom apartment, with space for up to four people is found in the exciting Eixample district. With WiFi, air conditioning and a TV it offers all you could need for a wonderful break in Barcelona.

In the open kitchen-diner, there is a traditional feel, which is seen through the décor and wooden floors. The kitchen comes fully-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave & coffee machine to use for all your meal times, as well as a dishwasher & pots and pans for you to settle into the apartment straight away. There is also the large wooden dining table to eat your meals upon together.

The living room area has a stylish, modern décor, with a comfortable sofa & armchair to use while relaxing and watching television with your guests.

One of the bedrooms has a double bed, with a window which lets lots of natural light into the room. The second bedroom has two single beds, which can be pushed together to make a double bed, and also has lots of natural light given from the window. In addition to this, there is the bathroom complete with shower.

Being located in Eixample offers the perfect spot to be just a short walk from some of the city´s most iconic sights. For a wonderful day of shopping, sight-seeing and exploring, there is the Plaça d´Espanya just a 12-minute walk away, where you can find the Arenas Shopping Centre complete with many restaurants and shops. The other famous open square in Barcelona, is the Plaza Catalunya which is a 20-minute walk away, which gives you access to Las Ramblas and Passeig de Gràcia. As for getting fresh produce to cook with, there is the Mercat de Sant Antoni, only an 8-minute walk from the apartment.

BEFORE BOOKING: We recommend visiting the apartment so that you can appreciate it in person. Although the dimensions are clearly indicated in the ad, the photos were taken with a wide-angle lens to better showcase the space, which may make it appear larger. Additionally, please note that the apartment has been enjoyed by several guests, so it may show some signs of normal wear and tear over time.

District

Eixample is Catalan for ´extension´, meaning an extension of the old Barcelona city. Eixample was designed by Catalan-born urban planning visionary, Ildefons Cerdà, who took traffic and sunlight (amongst many other things) into consideration when creating the plans for this new district.

Eixample is now characterised by its octagonal blocks and its grid-like pattern, with wide streets and both commercial and residential areas. It is split into two parts, Eixample Esquerra (Left, or in Spanish, Izquierdo) and Eixample Dret (Right, or in Spanish, Derecho), both of which are home to some fantastic restaurants and stores.

Eixample Izquierdo is delimited by the grand, Passeig de Gràcia, a paradise for shopping and dining, and Plaça d´Espanya, where the Montjuïc Magic Fountain and one of the biggest convention centres in Barcelona can be found. The Parc de Joan Miró, with its iconic ´Woman and Bird´ sculpture created by the Barcelona-born artist, is also situated here, as well as the Arenas shopping centre, which was once a bull-fighting ring.
